With operations in Central America, Africa, Asia and the United

labor, child prostitution, and forced labor. By doing the dirty and dangerous
work of investigating these cases, ITEMP personnel bravely search for those who
have had their voice taken from them.
The Brothels
One of the greatest
crimes that a person can commit is to prostitute a child. Far too many of the
cases that ITEMP personnel encounter involve the forced prostitution of
children. Some of these cases involve a family member selling their son or
daughter, brother or sister. Others involve the sale of children in the world's
brothels.
Industries
When people are
forced to work, they are often treated as less than human. This mentality often
leads to placing them in excessively dangerous situations. ITEMP personnel have
found young boys horribly burnt when they were forced to work in unsafe and
unregulated fireworks factories. We have found young girls whose voices are
permanently destroyed because they were forced to scavenge through burning
garbage. ITEMP is often the only thing standing in the way of children and
these horrors.

Jose Ignacio Llopis Miro is wanted in Uruguay (Circuit 13: File: 2002/13618) in a criminal investigation involving all of the FRAUD elements of human trafficking.
As recently as May 2009, Jose Ignacio Llopis Miro was in Guatemala, Central America, where he was formally accused of the victimization of at least one additional person.

Llopis Miro travels on a sailboat called "Don Juan", flying a British flag, which is registered in Tortola, British Vigin Islands, and is owned by the "Free Blue Lt." company. The boat weighs 18.81 tons, measures 15.21 m long and 4.83 m wide, and has/had a blue mast.
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia: Between August and December 2004: Recorded for fraud. Llopis Miro's modus operandi always seems to be the same: he arrives on "his yacht", which may be stolen, claims to be a Spanish doctor or plastic surgeon traveling the world and taking part in yachting regattas, deceives and defrauds several people, and then vanishes. He is thought to have left for Nouméa, New Caledonia, on 15 December 2004. According to unconfirmed reports, he may have committed fraud in Mexico, Panama, French Polynesia, Netherlands Antilles, Brazil, and the United States. Charges were filed against Llopis Miro in Guatemala in May 2009.
As is common with human traffickers, Llopis Miro appears to use deception to engage, deceive, exploit, transport, and eventually steal from his victims.
Montevideo, Uruguay: Llopis Miro defrauded a Uruguayan woman of EUR 2,000. Llopis Miro entered into a relationship with a woman, and offered to take her with him to Spain to work on a yacht that he owned. He then asked her for money purportedly to carry out the necessary paperwork to obtain a visa. After he received the money, Llopis Miro failed to contact the woman again and disappeared from the hotel where he was staying. The Criminal Court of First Instance (Circuit 13) in Montevideo has ordered his location and arrest in Uruguay on charges and theft by deception.
