Patrick J. Atkinson is Awarded the Guatemalan National Congressional Medal of Honor

Patrick J. Atkinson, ITEMP President and founder and international executive director of the The GOD'S CHILD Project,  received the Guatemalan National Congressional Medal of Honor this August (2006) during a formal ceremony in Antigua, Guatemala.

This recognition is the highest civilian honor awarded by Guatemala's democratically elected National Congress. Only one other non-native individual or group has received the award, which requires a unanimous vote by the Congress.
